Trusting the Lord of the Nations

The world around us seems incredibly chaotic, unpredictable, and out of our control. We’re in a record drought in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Other parts of the country are experiencing hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes. Our national debt is staggering, the value of the Dollar is dragging our economy down…down…down, and our national security is not assured. All of that can be overwhelming! But it is good to know that God is in control, and that He’s not surprised by any of it.

God is at work, using human history to fulfill His purposes. And when we understand what some of those purposes are, the chaos seems less chaotic. I’m in the middle of a sermon series, “Lord of the Nations,” exploring how God works, causing things and using the things we cause too.

If you’re in the Fayetteville area, join us at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church on Sundays at 10:50 am as we discover how our sovereign God is at work in our lives and in the lives of the nations.
